Jo Wright

Jo has been working as a freelance set and costume designer for 2 years, working on a variety of performances from new opera to pantomime. Jo enjoys working collaboratively with creative teams, using communication and practise in order to push each other's creative abilities and create a show that is original and exciting for audiences. Jo has many skills not only from being able to understand and work with a variety of different spaces, but technical skills including AutoCAD and Photoshop. She also has strong scenic painting and building skills.

Jo also works part time for a charity called Collage Arts which helps bring together unemployed people from a variety backgrounds and leading them through courses in order to gain skills and therefore employment. For the past 18 months Jo has helped with administration as well as successfully run an immersive theatre course, leading a group of 6 people through the process of making a show from start to finish. 

​

In the New Year she will commence teaching design modules at Birmingham Royal Conservatoire, as well as taking on new design projects and continuing to push her practise through new experiences.
